INDOCTRINATION MATTERS!
Have you ever wondered why a radical Muslim terrorist would strap on a bomb to their body, so that they could kill themselves and other people? Why would World War II Japanese kamikaze pilots use their airplanes as a bomb, and fly them into an American battleship? It is reported by The Center for the Study of Global Christianity that roughly 90,000 Christians were killed for their faith in 2016! Could indoctrination be responsible for the above human behavior?
The word “indoctrination” has a negative connotation in our culture. The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines the word “indoctrination”: “to teach (someone) to fully accept the ideas, opinions, and beliefs of a particular group and to not consider other ideas.”
Do intelligent people pursue beliefs that are a product of the indoctrination process that has occurred in their lives? Many of us assume that people of low intelligence are victims to indoctrination programs. Wrong. Millions of humans have accepted communism, nazism, humanism, and many religions that give them a distorted worldview. The Bible tells us, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” (Prov. 14:12 AKJV).
A person’s worldview is affected by many things: family, culture, friends, education, religion, media, entertainment, etc. Many beliefs are placed into a persons life by religious indoctrination, family moral values, social influences, educational standards etc...this can be good or bad for future behavior.
If we examine the facts, we will find that the vast majority of judges, attorneys, journalists and educators are of a liberal political persuasion. Then we must ask the question, “why is this the case”? In 2016 Econ Journal Watch conducted a study involving 243 professors from 40 leading American universities. Democrats outnumbered Republican professors by 11.5 to 1 margin! Most studies have determined that amongst the media elites, they are typically 3 to 6 times more likely to be politically liberal than to hold to a politically conservative worldview.
Could there be a link to the politically-liberal, educational institutions influencing their graduates towards socialism and communism doctrine? Many Americans are perplexed by our federal courts’ rulings that twist or ignore the rule of law. How could the U.S. Supreme Court on January 22, 1973 rule in Roe vs. Wade that unborn babies could be legally killed in our nation? Indoctrination has been an ugly thing for over 62 million, unborn American children!
Indoctrination of bigoted political views in our educational institutions now prevents many conservative speakers from speaking on our university campuses. The weak school administrations allow political discrimination and even riots on their campus. They really don’t seek to deter students from violating other American’s freedom of speech rights. “Why should we allow speakers to present views we don’t agree with?” is the unstated attitude of the tyrannical students, faculty and school administration. The First Amendment applies to your freedom of speech if you agree with my viewpoint!
Graduates of the politically liberal universities become your leaders of tomorrow. Is it any wonder we find educators, attorneys, politicians, and judges seeking to impose their worldview on our nation? Their socialistic and marxist views affect their actions in their respective careers.
We currently have our federal courts seeking to upend our Constitution and our laws. We have the United States Court of Appeals Ninth Circuit ruling that the Pledge of Allegiance is unconstitutional in our public schools! Our federal courts have decided that they can “interpret” the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 by opposing President Trump from restricting immigration. This legislative act gives the President of the United States wide latitude in restricting immigration for national security reasons. Many of our federal jurists think they know what is best for our nation- regardless of the law!
You will find that the textbook curriculum used in our nation’s public schools and institutions of higher learning contains much information from a socialist/marxist viewpoint---minus our Creator. It would stand to reason that the authors of the textbooks will write their curriculum from their worldview. Many American parents who place their children in our public schools, colleges and universities are very surprised when their adult-children later hold views very contrary to their own!
Many Christian parents are concerned about what enters into their children’s lives. What happens in your home, school, church and in social contacts with your children will determine who they will become in life. Social studies conducted on children from Christian families who are exposed to our nation’s public schools indicate a high casualty rate for these children being committed Christians upon adulthood; studies conducted on Christian homeschool children indicate just the opposite results when they reach adulthood! Indoctrination does matter!
Christian indoctrination can be a good thing: responsible Christian parents that present all views, and why they reject the ones that conflict with God’s Word. God’s Word commands parents to teach and instruct their children 24/7 in the Christian faith (Deut. 6). Jesus said, we need God’s Word as much as we need daily food (Matt. 4:4). Ephesians Chapter 6:10-18 stresses the importance of preparing your family for battle against the Kingdom of Darkness. Christian parents who prepare their children with spiritual weapons and armor for the Enemy can help advance the Kingdom of Light in this world.
What are you allowing into your child’s life when it comes to schools, music, television, internet, friends, etc...their souls are in the balance in this life and in the one to come.
